The euphoria surrounding huge success of Bangalore Days, the Malayalam film directed by Anjali Menon is yet to die down. The team celebrated 100 days of the film at a grand event in Kochi recently on March 29th. No wonder then that the film has been picked up to be remade in Tamil and Telugu as well.

The Tamil version of Bangalore Days, produced by PVP Cinemas is going on floors April 6th onwards. The film will star Rana Daggubati, Arya and Bobby Simha in the lead in place of Fahadh Faasil, Dulquer Salmaan and Nivin Pauly respectively from the original. Sri Divya will play Nazriya Nazim’s character while Parvathi Menon will reprise her original role of RJ Sarah in the remake. The film will also feature actress Lakshmi Rai in Isha Talwar’s place.

According to PVP cinemas, the remake being directed by Telugu filmmaker Bhaskar (of Bomarillu fame), will stick to the original script with a few minor changes. Malayalam composer Gopi Sundar will score the music in the remake as well.

PVP cinemas is also planning a separate remake of Bangalore Days in Telugu, the cast and crew of which are not yet finalized. The Tamil version is aiming for a September release.
