3. Word of Mouth Spurs Lipstick Under My Burkha’s Monday Collections

With positive word of mouth, Lipstick Under My Burkha is only growing stronger at the box-office. The film collected Rs. 1.28 crore on Monday, more than its opening day figures, i.e. 1.22 crore. With that, Lipstick Under My Burkha has managed to rake in Rs. 7.08 crore at the box-office.

His angry tweets about the ‘irresponsible director’ were quickly forgotten. But the veteran actor has spoken up again, this time revealing more details about why he quit the film.

Thank you Rishi sir. At last you showed concern. Good blood never speaks wrong... If I had said something, it would have been perceived as a complaint. They did what they thought was right and I didn’t want to interfere. I am not here to fight.

5. CBFC Chief Nihalani Reacts to Reports of Him Being Asked to Quit

On Tuesday morning, Pahlaj Nihalani  woke up to a barrage of calls and messages anxiously inquiring about reports that he will soon be asked to step down from the position of the chairperson of the Central Board Of  Film Certification (CBFC).

Nihalani sounded far from rattled by these rumours.

So far I have not heard of any such plans from the government. I am sure my well-wishers are holding their breath. But they can exhale for now. As far as being asked to relinquish my post as the CBFC chairperson is concerned, I leave the decision entirely to the government. It was they who asked me to take over in January 2015. The decision to hire me was a complete surprise to me. I immediately took charge and began working to the best of my abilities. If now I am asked to leave, I’d do so just as swiftly, wishing my successor all the best.
