Superstar Amitabh Bachchan just witnessed a rare miracle and told us all about it in a long post on Twitter. Journalists and photographers have had a notorious reputation for a long time, but it looks like the media is turning over a new leaf and Mr Bachchan is super impressed.
Recently, Mr Bachchan tweeted angrily about some of his pictures that were not meant to be printed. Viral Bhayani, the man responsible for the whole mess, set a good example for fellow photographers and entertainment reporters by apologising publicly and addressing the cut throat competition that sometimes makes them insensitive towards a star’s privacy.
This issue brings back to life the long standing ‘ethics’ debate when it comes to stars and the media. But the manner in which both parties dealt with the situation has some learning to offer in itself.
Amitabh Bachchan was so touched by the photographer’s humble apology that he ended up praising his ethics.
While stars and the media need each other in equal measure, crossing the line doesn’t take much. It’s also good to see that Mr Bachchan is not the angry young man he used to be.
