Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra visited a BSF camp to promote his upcoming period drama Kesari. The actor interacted with BSF jawans and also shared a video of a mock fight while Kesari song Ajj Singh Garjega plays in the background.
Akshay also danced to Sanu Kehndi and performed a few stunts, while being surrounded by the jawans. A woman officer also knocked down the actor in a mock fight.
Akshay and Parineeti Chopra-starrer Kesari revolves around the Battle of Saragarhi, a military combat between 21 soldiers of the Sikh Regiment of the British Army and 6,000–10,000 Afridi and Orakzai mountain tribesmen from Afghanistan in 1897.
Chopra plays wife of Akshay Kumar in the film. Talking about her character in the film, she said: "Everybody knows Kesari is about the Battle of Saragarhi. It's a boy’s film. But at very crucial and emotional moments of the film, Akshay Kumar’s character thinks about his dead wife (played by me). It's a very cool love story that is woven into the story of battle. I have a very small role in the film but it is one of those films that I wanted to be a part of."
Directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Dharma Productions, Kesari releases on 21 March.
