Akshay Kumar Donates Rs 80 Lakhs to Army Jawans

Akshay Kumar shows his altruistic side yet again. The actor had earlier donated money to the drought victims of Maharashtra has now declared that he will donate Rs 80 lakhs to army jawans.

According to a report in TOI, when he was asked about his generous act, the actor quipped that they need money as much as they need medals.

They are decorated with lot of medals and that is good. But I looked at their faces. The <i>samman</i> was required for them but they need money too. You have to be practical. I thought how about giving them money and that is when I decided to give 5 lakhs to each family. &nbsp;

The Rustom actor further added that he was glad his efforts were being noticed because it can only urge more people to come forward.
