She is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful women in the world. She is also one ‘Umrao’, who stole million of ‘Jaans’ in Bollywood. But it seems like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan might be losing her charm at the Box Office.
The blue-eyed actress who is remembered for her roles in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), Devdas (2002), Raincoat (2004), Jodha Akbar (2008) has failed to cement her comeback in the industry.
I know I’ll be trolled by Aishwarya-fans, but I gotta say what I gotta say – It’s time for Bachchan bahurani to take a sabbatical from Bollywood.
But wait, before you shower those lovely abuses on me, let me tell you why she should do so.
Ae dil hai mushkil!
We know we are asking for the impossible. But please, let’s take a quick look at Jazbaa and Sarbjit’s records.
Jazbaa last year had a Rs 15.24 crore weekend collection in India, whereas Sarbjit has earned Rs 13.96 crore, far less than Jazbaa. Clearly, her acting has failed to impress and her career seems to be out of tune and ‘Taal’.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is a part of many lists.
She’s a part of the Cannes ‘To Watch Out For’ list. She’s was a part of ‘Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Dinner List’ in Mumbai. She also made it to the Rajini Sir’s ladies list: ‘Heroines of the Superstar’.
And now she’s also been named in the Panama list of firms in tax havens. With her name in so many rich and famous lists, and money safely siphoned off to phoren land, tell us why do you need to work in Bollywood? There are enough things for your name to be flaunted in the news.
Isshh...
Honey, you need no money or movies when you’ve got Cannes in your kitty. *Cough cough* we’re talking about your personal experience.
All you need is a tagda brand to back you up and watch the red carpet unfold itself for you for years to come (and maybe for your pariwaar too).
’Cuz you know, you’re worth it!
Mommy Aishwarya, it’s time you take the back seat and let your daughter, baby Aaradhya rule the social media just like her cousin Navya Naveli Nanda. As you would know, we are living in an age where star kids are making more headlines than their famous parents. Now look at your niece, Navya Naveli and buddy Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan’s graduation photographs.
So it’s better to don the trainer’s hat and let Aaradhya carry forward the parampara, pratishtha, anushasan...
