Aamir Khan Says Zaira Is a Role Model for Kids Across the World

Aamir Khan reacts to ‘Dangal’ actor Zaira Wasim’s controversial open letter.

Aamir Khan finally broke his silence on the controversial open letter than Zaira Wasim had put up on Instagram on Tuesday and then deleted. Aamir chose to react via Twitter by posting this message:

I have read Zaira’s statement, I can understand and imagine what lead her to make that statement. Zaira, I want you to know that we are all with you. The beauty is that bright, young, talented, hard working, respectful, caring and courageous kids like you are a role model for kids not only in India, but across the world. You certainly are a role model for me! May god bless you.

PS: I appeal to everyone to now leave her alone and respect the fact that she is just a 16 year old trying her best to deal with life.

Zaira, who had played the younger Geeta Phogat in Dangal, had yesterday posted a message saying that she should not be seen as a role model by Kashmiri youths. The 16-year-old’s post was reportedly put up after she was trolled online by Muslim radicals after her meeting with Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, during which the CM called her a role model for youngsters in Kashmir.
