The banter between Rawal and his on-screen wife Shoma Anand will still make you ROFL.
Who can forget Paresh Rawal in a double role as twins Ram and Shyam Gopal Bajaj? The latter is a small time criminal aka Teja, who hopes to make it rich by impersonating his brother. Rawal’s dialogue, “Main Teja hoon, mark idhar hain” has achieved cult status.
Paresh Rawal’s outstanding performance as Kanji Lalji Mehta, an atheist shopkeeper who sues God when his shop is destroyed in an earthquake. Rawal pulls off a lead role with Akshay Kumar making a special appearance. Once again Rawal with his screen presence and talent takes this satirical comic-drama to a totally different level.
Though the film itself was not remarkable, Paresh Rawal as Manilal and Johnny Lever as Chhota Chatri are totally epic. Rawal proves just how effortlessly he can lift even a bad film with his delightful comic act.
