UP Elections: 4,100 People Left Off Voters List in Kanpur

In this Kanpur locality, thousands have been waiting to get their voter IDs made for years now.

The elections are around the corner and people have been standing in queues to cast their votes. But in this Kanpur locality of Varun Vihar, at least 4,100 people do not have voter ID cards. Thus, they can’t vote in the upcoming elections.

The locals claim that the political parties use this locality to adjust the ‘fake’ votes. They have complained to the local authorities and have also written to the PMO. But while some have been waiting a couple of months, others have been waiting for years.
