Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday, 5 December, said that if the BJP comes to power in Telangana, it would rename Karimnagar district to ‘Karipuram’. He also reiterated his earlier claim that the BJP will rename Hyderabad as Bhagyanagar.
Addressing a series of election rallies in support of BJP candidates in the state on the last day of the campaign, he said only BJP could turn Hyderabad into Bhagyanagar.
While campaigning in Telangana on Sunday, Yogi had said that if BJP comes to power, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi will flee Hyderabad like the Nizam was forced to flee.
The BJP leader continued his attacks on AIMIM at the four meetings he addressed on Wednesday. "If BJP comes to power, MIM, which wants to capture Bodhan, will run away. They will not be seen anywhere. BJP will shatter their plans to create riots. We will expose them," the UP CM said.
Yogi said those involved in anti-national activities and those who have a mentality to create riots were a hurdle in development, and they need to be exposed. He said while providing good governance and ensuring development in the country, BJP would strengthen nationalism to fulfill the dream of 'Ram Rajya'.
Targetting Congress, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), Yogi said these parties wanted to work only for Muslims and can't think beyond Muslim politics.
He alleged that all the three parties were slaves to 'Nizam Shahi' and unless Telangana gets liberation from 'Nizam Shahi', development was not possible.
At Karimnagar, he said if BJP comes to power, it will suppress ISI, Naxalism and other anti-national activities with an iron hand.
