While two exit polls predicted that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi led by K Chandrashekhar Rao will get a clear majority to form the government, three others have predicted a hung assembly. The Congress-led Prajakutami is expected to trail behind the TRS.

India’s youngest state, Telangana, went to polls on Friday, 7 December, to constitute its second Legislative Assembly.

The main contenders for this election are the KCR-led TRS, which was in power for the last four years, and the Congress-led 'Prajakutami' (or 'People’s Alliance'), which include the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) among many others.

Times Now-CNX Survey Predicts TRS Win

The Times Now-CNX exit-poll survey predicts that Telangana Rashtra Samiti will win Telangana with 66 seats.

TRS to Retain Power With 62 Seats

The poll of exit polls conducted by NDTV said that the TRS will retain power in Telangana with 62 seats. The Congress is predicted to win 41 seats and the BJP is expected to win six seats.

Republic TV - Jan Ki Baat Survey Predicts TRS Win

The Republic TV - Jan Ki Baat survey also showed the Telangana Rashtra Samiti to win 50-65 seats. The survey said that the Congress-led ‘Prajakutami’ will win 38-53 seats.

India Today - My Axis Also Predict TRS Win

The India Today - My Axis exit poll is also giving a clear majority to the Telangana Rashtra Samiti.

NewsX-Neta Survey Predicts Hung Assembly

The NewsX - Neta exit poll are predicting that TRS will get 57 of the 119 seats. The Congress, and its allies are expected to get 46 seats. A party has to win at least 60 seats to form the government.

Republic TV - CVoter Also Predicts TRS Win

The Republic TV-CVoter survey has also predicted a hung assembly in Telangana. But suggests that TRS will emerge as the single largest party.
