The phase 2 of the Lok Sabha election 2019 concluded, with over 61 per cent of voter turnout till 5pm. Voting percentages recorded till 5 pm in respective states: Tamil Nadu (63.16%), Jammu and Kashmir (43.37%), Maharashtra (55.37%), Chhattisgarh (71.00%), Manipur (74.69%), Puducherry (78.00%), Assam (73.32%), Bihar (58.14%), Karnataka (64.84%) and West Bengal (76.07%).
The battle for a total of 543 seats started with elections in 91 constituencies across 20 states on April 11. The first phase of Lok Sabha elections saw a voter turnout of 69.43 per cent. The final vote count will be done May 23.

Sixty-six per cent turnout recorded in second phase of Lok Sabha polls, says Senior Deputy Election Commissioner Umesh Sinha.

Voter turnout till 3 PM for 2nd phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2019:
An average 46.63 % polling was recorded till 3 pm in 10 constituencies of Maharashtra where polling is underway in the second phase of Lok Sabha elections on Thursday.
Polling is being held in Buldhana, Akola, Amravati, Hingoli, Nanded, Parbhani, Beed, Osmanabad, Latur and Solapur Lok Saba constituencies.
An estimated 60.38 % of the 69,10,592 electorate exercised their franchise till 3 pm in 5 parliamentary constituencies of Assam in the second phase of polling on Thursday, EC sources said.
Polling is being held in 8992 polling booths in Karimganj (SC), Silchar, Autonmous Districts(ST), Nowgong and Mangaldoi constituencies to decide the fate of 50 candidates in fray and there has been no report of any untoward incidents so far, the EC official said.
Karimganj recorded the highest polling of 63.66% followed by Mangaldoi and Autonomous district- both at 62.7%, Silchar with 57.06 and Nowgong with the lowest at 56.78%.
An average 46.63 % polling was recorded till 3 pm in 10 constituencies of Maharashtra where polling is underway in the second phase of Lok Sabha elections on Thursday.
Prominent candidates in the fray are senior Congress leaders and former chief ministers Ashok Chavan and Sushilkumar Shinde, who are contesting from Nanded and Solapur seats, respectively.
West Bengal Poll % till 3.00 pm: Jalpaiguri (SC) - 71.32%,Darjeeling - 63.14%, Raiganj - 61.84 %. State total - 65.43 %.
Voter turnout till 3 PM in Jammu and Kashmir is 38.5%, including 5.7% in Srinagar
Vote turnout is 38.94% in Uttar Pradesh. Lok Sabha Election 2019 phase 2 is on eight seats in UP today.
Puducherry recorded 23 per cent voting till noon in polling Thursday for the lone Lok Sabha, which is witnessing a battle between the ruling Congress and opposition AINRC.
25% polling was registered till noon for the vacant Thattanchavady Assembly seat, election officials said.
The main battle for the Parliamentary seat from the Union Territory is between the ruling Congress' candidate V Vaithilingam, a former assembly speaker and opposition AINRC nominee K Narayanasamy.
Voter turnout till 11 AM in Jammu & Kashmir's Srinagar and Udhampur parliamentary constituency is 17.8%. Phase 2 election in Jammu and Kashmir are on 2 seats of Lok Sabha.
Voter turnout till 11 AM in Tamil Nadu is 30.62%
