Aam Aadmi Party's Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan and his supporters were booked for allegedly assaulting and threatening a man in Jamia Nagar here, police said Monday, 13 May, PTI reported.
A complaint was received from a man alleging that AAP supporters assaulted him because he was not supporting Khan and the party, a senior police officer said.
The man told police that Khan was present at the time of the incident, he said.
The Election Commission on Monday asked the Delhi Chief Electoral Office to inquire into the allegations of a man who claimed that he was dissuaded from complaining about a mismatch between the vote cast by him and what reflected in the VVPAT machine, PTI reported.
The case pertains to a polling booth in the Matiala assembly segment of West Delhi.
“We're not going to poach any MLAs from BJP but naturally they'll come to Congress after 23rd. That's going to happen. In last 1 yr, Karnataka has been witnessing horse-trading mentality of BJP, on the other hand Congress-JD(S) joined together,” said Congress MP and General Secretary, K C Venugopal.

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Chief Mayawati, while addressing a press conference, said that the EC should add roadshows and temple visits to the candidates expenditure, while calling to put an end to reporting of temple visits of politicians during elections.
“Roadshows and offering prayers has become a fashion during the elections, where a lot of money is spent. Election Commission should add this expense to the candidate’s total expenditure limit,” said Mayawati.
“During a ban on a candidate for violating Model Code of Conduct (MCC), if they go to a public place or offer prayers at a temple and it is shown in media, it should be stopped. Election Commission should take action on it,” she added.
BSP chief Mayawati, while addressing a press conference today, expressed confidence that the BJP was losing this election and that even the RSS had stopped supporting them.

Former mayor of Tamil Nadu, MK Stalin on Tuesday, said he will quit politics if BJP proves that his party, DMK is touch with them for an alliance.
"If Modi proves I was in contact with BJP to form an alliance with them, I'll quit politics. If they (BJP) fail to prove, will he quit politics? I condemn the statement made by BJP State President Tamilisai Soundararajan.
Earlier in the day, BJP, state party president, Soundararajan said, the saffron party and DMK are in "contact."
Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad has written to the chief election commissioner seeking appropriate action against Haryana minister Manish Grover for allegedly intimidating voters in Rohtak on 12 May, a charge which the BJP leader has denied.
Congress' Rohtak candidate Deepender Singh Hooda, who is seeking re-election for a fourth term, accused Grover, who is BJP's Rohtak MLA, of intimidating voters by forcibly entering some polling booths.

The Election Commission has issued a notice to Congress leader, Sanjay Nirupam, for allegedly violating the Model Code of Conduct in a speech delivered in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
The seeking his response within 24 hours.
The Election Commission on Tuesday, sought explanation from three media houses for allegedly publishing a survey "predicting results" of Lok Sabha elections.
They have been given 48 hours to respond to the notice, the ECI said.

The Election Commission of India has ordered fresh polling in 34 booths in ten districts including three in Puri district on 19 May, an official said Tuesday.
Puri district has been worst hit by the cyclone Fani which made a landfall near Puri town on 3 May.
"... The ECI has directed to hold fresh poll on 19.05.2019 (Sunday) in following polling stations for simultaneous General Election to Lok Sabha and Odisha Legislative Assembly....," Odisha Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) S Kumar said in a letter to the district election officers and collectors of ten districts.
The fresh polls will be held in different assembly segments in the districts of Cuttack, Deogarh, Puri, Angul, Keonjhar, Khurda, Jajpur, Balasore, Mayurbhanj and Jagatsinghpur, he said.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday attacked Congress president Rahul Gandhi, alleging that whenever there is a crisis in the country he "moves to Italy".
The chief minister addressed rallies in Ballia, Bansgaon, Khajani, Hata and Doheriya on Tuesday, ahead of the seventh and final phase of polling for the Lok Sabha elections on 19 May.
"Whenever there is a crisis in the country, Rahul moves to Italy," he said, alluding to the Congress chief's mother Sonia Gandhi's Italian origins.
"If Congress' 'Shehjadi' (Priyanka Gandhi Vadra) and (her brother) Rahul have nothing to do with the people of our country, then they should better move to Italy and ask for votes there," Adityanath said.
The BJP's Jammu and Kashmir unit on Tuesday said assembly elections should be held in November after over 30 lakh nomads return from the state's high-altitude areas to the plains. "We want that elections should be held in J&K in November this year. It should be held after the return of Gujjars and Bakerwals back to the plains from the upper reaches of the state. It is the period of November," state BJP general secretary Ashok Koul told reporters.
He said the party does not favour immediate elections in the state.
Though, the party is not in favour of any delays in the polls, but at the same time, it doesn't want that a huge population of nomads are deprived of their right to vote, Koul said.
