Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi demanded a JPC probe into alleged links between exit polls and the stock markets crash, while addressing the press on Thursday, 6 June, adding that it was the "biggest scam" orchestrated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
Reacting to the allegations, BJP leader Piyush Goyal said that the Congress leader was "conspiring to mislead market investors".

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi demanded a JPC probe into alleged links between exit polls and the stock markets crash, while addressing the press on Thursday, 6 June, adding that it was the "biggest scam" orchestrated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
"Why did the PM and Union Home Minister give specific investment advice to the five crore families investing in the stock market? Is it their job to give investment advice? Why were both interviews given to the same media owned by the same business group which is also under SEBI investigation for manipulating stock?" Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said while questioning the BJP.
"What is the connection between the BJP, the fake exit pollsters and the dubious foreign investors who invested one day before the exit polls were announced and made a huge profit at the cost of five crore salaries? We demand a JPC into this," he added.
Reacting to Rahul Gandhi's allegations of links between PM Modi, exit polls, and the recent markets crash, BJP leader Piyush Goyal said that the Congress leader was trying to "mislead" market investors.
"Rahul Gandhi has still not overcome the loss in the Lok Sabha Elections. Now, he is conspiring to mislead the market investors. Today, India has become the fifth-largest economy," he said.
A key meeting of NDA partners is scheduled to be held on Friday, 7 June, in Parliament to work out a formula for Cabinet formation. The meeting will be attended by JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu – who have emerged as the "king-makers" of this election.

BJP president JP Nadda said that electing Prime Minister Narendra Modi as leader of the NDA and prime minister of India for a third time is a "historic moment".
“It’s a historic moment. We all waited for this moment to come. We all will elect today NDA leader (Narendra Modi) as the Prime Minister for the third time. On this historic occasion, we are here as witnesses," he said.
Home Minister Amit Shah said that he "wholeheartedly" supported the proposal to elect Narendra Modi as the leader of the NDA.
"I congratulate everyone for winning the Lok Sabha Elections again. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has proposed the name of Narendra Modi as the leader of Lok Sabha, leader of the BJP and NDA Parliamentary Party. I wholeheartedly support this," he said.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari supports the proposal to elect Narendra Modi as leader of the BJP, NDA, and Lok Sabha.
TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the NDA meeting in Parliament.
"We are congratulating all of us as we have won a wonderful majority. I have seen during the election campaign, for 3 months PM Modi never took any rest. Day and night he has campaigned. He started and ended with the same spirit," he said.
"In Andhra Pradesh, we had 3 public meetings and 1 big rally and it has made a huge difference in winning the election in Andhra Pradesh," Naidu added.
TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu said that he "proudly proposes" the name of Narendra Modi as leader of the NDA and the prime minister of India.
"Narendra Modi has a vision and a zeal, his execution is very perfect. He is executing all his policies with a true spirit...Today, India is having the right leader - that is Narendra Modi. This is a very good opportunity for India, if you miss now, we will miss forever," Naidu said.
JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar seconded the proposal to elect Narendra Modi as the prime minister of India and leader of the NDA.
"All the pending works of Bihar will be done. It is a very good thing that all of us have come together and we will all work together with you (PM Modi). You will be swearing in as the Prime Minister on Sunday, but I wanted you to do it today itself. Whenever you take the oath, we will be with you...We will all work together under your leadership," Kumar said while addressing NDA leaders in Parliament.

Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan and NCP chief Ajit Pawar seconded a proposal to elect Narendra Modi as leader of the NDA and the prime minister of India.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing NDA leaders in Parliament, hailed the efforts of party workers in the recently-concluded Lok Sabha elections.
"They (party workers) didn't see day or night. They worked tirelessly in the heat. I salute them," Modi said.
After being elected as the leader of the NDA, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "I express my heartfelt gratitude to all the leaders of the constituent parties present in this assembly hall, all the newly elected MPs and our Rajya Sabha MPs. It is a matter of happiness for me that I have had the opportunity to welcome such a large group here today," he said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the "strength of democracy", saying that the electorate had given the NDA the opportunity to serve in 22 states.
"Very few people discuss this, perhaps it doesn't suit them. But look at the strength of the great democracy of India - today, people have given NDA the opportunity to form a government and serve in 22 states," he said.
Thanking NDA leaders for electing him as leader of the coalition, PM Modi said, "You all have given me a new responsibility and I am very grateful to you...When I was speaking in this House in 2019, you all chose me as the leader, then I emphasized one thing which is trust. Today, when you are giving me this role, it means that the bridge of trust between us is strong. This relationship is on a strong foundation of trust and this is the biggest asset."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that no pre-poll alliance has been as successful as the NDA.
"A consensus is needed to run the country," he said.
PM Modi said that in the next 10 years, the NDA will "focus on good governance, development, minimum interference in lives of common citizens."

"I assure the people of the country that the majority they gave us to run the government, it will be our effort that we will strive towards consensus and leave no stone unturned towards taking the country forward...NDA has completed around 3 decades, it is no ordinary thing...I can say that this is the most successful alliance," he said.
Taking a swipe at the Opposition INDIA bloc, PM Modi said that their claims of "EVM manipulation" were silenced when the Lok Sabha results were declared on 4 June.
"When results were coming out on 4th June, I was busy with work. Phone calls started coming in later. I asked someone, numbers are fine, tell me EVM zinda hai ki mar gaya. These people (Opposition) had decided to ensure that people stop believing in democracy and democratic process of India. They continuously abused EVM. I thought they would take out the funeral procession of the EVM," he said.
"But by the evening of 4th June, unko taale lag gaye. EVM ne unko chup kar diya. This is the strength of India's democracy, its fairness...I hope I won't get to hear about EVM for 5 years. But when we go into 2029, perhaps they will again harp about EVM...The country will never forgive them," Modi added.
Taking a dig at the Congress, PM Modi said that the party couldn't even touch the 100-mark after 10 years.
"Even after 10 years, Congress could not touch the figure of 100 seats. If we combine the 2014, 2019 and 2024 elections, Congress did not even get as many seats as BJP got in this election. I can clearly see the people of the INDI alliance were sinking slowly earlier, now they are going to sink at a fast pace," Modi said.
"Their total seats in last three Lok Sabha polls are fewer than our tally in this election alone," he added.
PM Modi said that the INDIA bloc tried to create an "illusion" that the BJP had lost the 2024 election.
"I believe that if we look at the results of the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, from every parameter, the world believes that this is NDA's 'Mahavijay'. You saw how the two days went, it seemed as if we had lost, because they (opposition) had to make such imaginary promises to raise the morale of their workers," Modi said.
"If we look at the statistics in the history of the alliance, then this is the strongest alliance government. An attempt was made not to accept this victory," he added.
PM Modi said that the NDA is a representative of "New India".
"If I keep NDA on one side & the aspirations and resolves of people of India, then I would say - NDA: New India, Developed India, Aspirational India," he said.
"NDA has always given a corruption-free, reform-oriented stable government to the country. Congress-led UPA changed their name but they have been known for their corruption. Even after changing their names, the country has not forgiven them, the country has rejected them...I can say that because of their one-point agenda of opposing just one person, the people of the country have made them sit in the Opposition," PM Modi said.

"The President called me just now and asked me to work as the PM delegate and she has informed me about the oath ceremony. I have told the President that we will be comfortable on the evening of the 9 June. Now the Rashtrapati Bhavan will work out the rest of the details and by then we will hand over the list of the Council of Ministers to the President. After that, the oath ceremony will take place," PM Modi said after staking claim to form the next government.
"This is the first election after Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav...For the third time, the NDA government has been given a chance by the people to serve to country...I assure the people of the country that in the last two terms, the speed with which the country has moved forward, change is visible in every sector and for 25 crore people to move out of poverty is a proud moment for every Indiaṇ," he further said.
