In the assembly elections held in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram, roughly 15 lakh votes have gone to NOTA (None of the Above). Around 10 pm on 11 December, NOTA (None Of The Above) received the following vote share in each of the 5 states, according to the Election Commission’s website:
Taken together, roughly 15 lakh voters chose the NOTA option across five states.
In Chhattisgarh, NOTA has a higher percentage of the vote share than the Aam Aadmi Party, Communist Party of India (CPI), Samajwadi Party (SP) and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).
Lower than NOTA’s 2.0%, the AAP got 0.9%. CPI has 0.3%. Samajwadi Party (SP) and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) both have 0.2% in the state. Gondwana Ganatantra Party (GGP) has 1.8%.
In Madhya Pradesh, NOTA has 1.4 % while SP has 1.2% and the AAP recieved 0.7%.
In Mizoram, NOTA got 0.5% and People's Represent for Identity and Status of Mizoram (PRISMP) has 0.2%.
In Rajasthan, NOTA has 1.3% while SP and NCP all have 0.2%. Communist Party of India (Marxist) has 1.2%.
In Telangana, NOTA got 1.1% while CPI and CPM both had 0.4%. NCP got 0.1%.
