Dear Modi ji,

A sound advice from a critic. When you tell people who have suffered and lost their jobs that they have benefited, gained and are happy, you lose their vote forever. From his vantage point, it is either a lie or he was cheated. If you have any doubts, ask Vajpayee ji why his 'Shining India' campaign strategy boomeranged.

We Haven’t Felt The Real Effect of Demonetisation Yet

  1. Service tax typically sky rockets in the festive season (Oct-Dec). Reflecting the festive spirit of this year, It grew by 68 percent month-over-month in October and decelerated to 13 percent in November. December would be equally bad.
  2. Excise grew by 32 percent in November (festive season) as against 41 percent in October and 36 percent in September.
  3. Income Tax grew by 14% year over year but the rate decelerated dramatically, if you notice data of the advance tax paid on 15 December 2016.
  4. Quite simply, we earned and stood in queues because we were stopped from spending our own money. We were made to pay for petrol unfairly to fill the coffers of the government. And then, they use that data against us to show how well they performed. Ridiculous.

Regards
A frustrated Indian
