Can you imagine a day in both Houses of the Parliament when only women talk, throw mikes, and boycott sessions? Well, neither can Narendra Modi. And probably that’s why the Prime Minister has proposed that only women members talk in both the Houses on 8 March, International Women’s Day.

Picture this – Hema Malini’s dramatic “nahi”, following Smriti Irani’s, “sar kalam karke aapke charnoon main chhod doongi”. And, for the first time, Jaya Bachchan and Rekha under the same roof. Whattey fun!

The Quint attempts to figure out what some of our most interesting women Parliamentarians may want to talk about on International Women’s Day.

It’s time to bring back the old Smriti Irani. The Union HRD Minister needs to rehash her Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi dialogues, kyunki that’s the only way she can expect to be liked again. The best part about her ‘Tulsi’ avatar – people can hear her talk, without needing to worry about facts. Phew!

Hema Malini

“The world’s best RO – Kent water purifier.” Yup, that’s Hema Malini for you. You can’t blame the actress, ‘cause that’s all she gotta say.

And hey, it’s time she reciprocates the brand’s loyalty for keeping her the brand ambassador, year after year.

The evergreen beauty will visit the Rajya Sabha, only if she has to hand over a special award for Women’s Day. Otherwise, it’s too much of an effort to fly from Mumbai to Delhi for a Rajya Sabha session.

It’s payback time Mr Arnab Goswami.

Arnab will be invited by Meenakshi for the special Women’s Day session in Lok Sabha and face the ‘Lekhi-encounter’. ’Cause she’ll never, ever, EVER get this opportunity again.
