Mercedes-Benz SUV Lineup in India Gets the GLC for Rs 50.7 Lakhs

Their fifth model of the year fills the gap between the GLA and the GLE.

Mercedes-Benz has added the GLC SUV in India, making it the second model to be launched here in a month. The Mercedes-Benz GLC, is also their fifth product to have made its way to the Indian shores in 2016. According to the company, the GLC SUV fills the gap between the Mercedes-Benz GLA and the GLE SUV.

Priced at Rs 50.7 lakhs, you get the 220d diesel variant, while the petrol model (GLC 330) will be available for Rs 50.9 lakhs (both ex-showroom Pune). At this price point, the GLC is competitively placed to rival the Audi Q5 and the BMW X3.

The GLC SUV gives you the best off-road driving as well as the luxurious all-wheel drive with five driving modes on offer. The diesel variant of the GLC is said to produce 170 hp power and 400 Nm of peak torque, while those of the petrol model are 245 hp and 370 Nm of torque.

Mercedes-Benz claims that the GLC carries a lighter body shell compared to its predecessor, the GLK-Class which, as highlighted by the company, did not makes its way to the Indian market.

The GLC SUV exudes class and durability along with safety features of the highest standards, as claimed by the German automaker. You get the signature split LED rear lamps with the Edition 1 badging on the wings.

The GLC gets 18-inch 5-spoke Alloy wheels that add a sporty appeal to this SUV. It’s got the right blend of youthfulness and class, showcased with a wide range of colours on display.

The Luxury Service

Mercedes-Benz is offering special luxury services to the buyers of the GLC SUV wherein you get their best-in-class offerings for high-range distance covered over the period of up to 10 years. The package comprises of maintenance related jobs from the date of sale.

The service, starting at Rs 63,000 is available to the buyers of the GLC petrol variant, while the diesel folks have to pay Rs 73,000 to avail the aforementioned packages.
