Maruti’s new car, Brezza, has taken the market by a storm. It’s selling huge numbers but are you still contemplating whether a cusp Suv Hyundai Creta will be a more logical buy?

Although a comparison between the Brezza and Creta is unfair, but it is unavoidable because that is what consumers want.

More than 40 percent of Brezza buyers are opting for the top-end variant, whose price is nearing the base price of Creta.

Looking at cars from the front, Brezza steals the thunder not only from Creta but all other cars elbowing it. Brezza’s signature bull horn led lights and chrome finish masculine front grill tease the rather unexciting hexagonal grille of Creta.

Brezza is comfortable on the pocket too, as it has a 1.2-litre engine which will give you a 24.3 km per liter mileage. The mileage is more because the engine is smaller than Creta.

The Creta has a better pickup and performance than the Brezza. Maybe that’s the reason Brezzas launch has not jolted Creta yet. It is going strong with 1 lakh plus bookings and ramping up its capacity to 10,000 Cretas a month by June.

But when it comes to a Maruti cars, it’s really difficult to suppress popularity, especially when the automaker has got the styling right.
