If someone in India wants to buy a street naked superbike, they have some pretty good options to choose from like the Ducatis and Triumphs. But that list now has a contender that can give the existing choices a run for their money – The MV Agusta Brutale 1090.
It looks good, there’s no doubt about that, but it also comes with a heavy price tag – the perfect recipe for a swanky superbike that will make waves for all the right reasons. After all, you wouldn’t want anyone to call your dream bike cheap, would you?
The bike is priced at Rs 19.3 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune).
The Brutale’s entry to the country has been because of the tie-up between Motoroyale, a Kinetic initiative, and the Italian bike maker MV Agusta.
What immediately stands out is the styling of the 1090, starting with the daytime LEDs in the front. They are big and muscular, just like the rest of the bike.
The real eye-catcher though have to be the wonderfully shaped dual exhaust pipes.
The Brutale 1090 is powered by a 1078cc in-line 4-cylinder DOHC engine that is connected to a six-speed transmission. The 16-valve motor produces a sweet 144 horsepower complimented by 112 Nm of torque, enough to take you to a top speed of 265 km/h.
This bike caters to bikers who crave pure adrenaline and want to have that rush in style.
But priced at over 19 lakh, it would be interesting to see if the sales figures of the MV Augusta Brutale 1090 turn out to be as impressive as the performance figures.
