Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL) has announced that it will be hiking the prices across its entire range of models in India by up to Rs 16,000, effective from January 1, 2016.

According to the company, the decision has been made to offset rising input costs in the production of the vehicles currently offered by the Japanese Automaker.

HCIL sells a range of vehicles starting from the entry-level Brio to the CR-V, with price ranging between Rs 4.25 lakh and Rs 25.13 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).

We will hike prices in the range of Rs 10,000 to 16,000 from January, depending upon the model. The price increase has been necessitated on account of increase in input costs.
Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice-President (Marketing and Sales), Honda Cars

The decision to hike prices from 2016 comes after a series of announcements by Tata, Maruti Suzuki, General Motors, Hyundai, Toyota, Skoda, Nissan, Renault, BMW and Mercedes – that prices will be hiked across their entire model range effective January 1, 2016.
