The images of the 2016 Toyota Innova have been officially released and it looks like Toyota is all set to repeat the success it had with the outgoing Innova model.

A lot of work has been done in the looks department and the new Innova feels like a redesigned model instead of a face-lifted one.

The large grille, two thick chrome strips and edgy headlamps on the front are similar to the modern day Toyota vehicle designs. The new projector headlamps now include daytime running LED strips and the indicators have been moved next to the fog lamps.

The new Innova will be available in three variants, namely G, V and Q. G is the lowest and Q is the highest variant.

To keep you safe, dual airbags are a standard feature along with stability control and hill-start assist.

The 2016 version will have two driving modes – Eco and Power – across all variants. It will be powered by a 2L petrol and 2.4L diesel engine and will offer five-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmissions.

Currently, the Innova is priced at Rs 10.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It will be interesting to see what the new model is priced at.

The 2016 Toyota Innova has high expectations to meet but what gives it an advantage over other cars is that it’s already an Indian favourite.

All it has to do now is prove that it has not slipped in terms of quality and performance, and Toyota has a winner.
