The first EcoBoost engine was introduced in 2009 by Ford and since then, 5 million EcoBoost-equipped vehicles have been sold globally by the company.
In the Asia Pacific region, demand for the EcoBoost engine range is growing and Ford will be launching more vehicles equipped with the fuel-efficient technology. By the end of 2015, Ford will offer EcoBoost in Asia Pacific in more than 20 vehicles.
In India, Ford offers the 1.0L EcoBoost in its EcoSport Trend+ and Titanium+ trims.
Ford Motor Company launched a series of entertaining short films that celebrate the theme of ‘Small but Mighty’ inspired by their tiny little 1-litre engine that produces a lot of power.
The shorts, created by five emerging filmmakers from around the world who took on the challenge to craft short films that capture the spirit of what the engine range is all about, and demonstrate a moment in life, a person or an idea that is Small but Mighty.

Watch: Mighty Ride
Directed by Ricky Rojas, the film is based around an ethereal daydream and features a series of stunning landscapes. It’s about the small details, moments, and actions that shape lives and the big, mighty effect they have.
Watch: Soccer Prodigy
The director Jude Chun cast a talented 8-year-old with incredible ball-handling skills. The young boy’s impressive moves on the pitch steal the show in this comic book-style short.
Watch: Small but Mighty Vignettes
Daniel Brothers and Lauren Schad of Long Way Home Films weave together a series of highly visual scenes of small feats, which prove that good things really do come in small packages. Ranging from the hilarious to the heartwarming, the five scenes will leave you wanting more.
Watch: Bite With a Kick
Independent filmmaker Ellenor Argyropoulos created Bite with a Kick. The film, which is set in the Australian outback, tells the story of a family on a camping adventure and the surprising power of a small chilli.
Watch: Small but Mighty Arms
Andy Kelemen, an award-winning filmmaker, produced Small but Mighty Arms. In the style of a mockumentary, the film’s comedic narrative revolves around the life of a slim man who at first struggles but then finds amazing use of his incredibly strong arms.
Ford India sold 20,420 vehicles in combined domestic wholesales and exports in October, compared to 11,630 vehicles in the corresponding month last year.
October domestic wholesales rose 49% to 10,008 vehicles against 6,723 units in the same month last year, while exports more than doubled to 10,412 vehicles compared to 4,907 units in October 2014.
