Apple has taken the wraps off the 4-inch iPhone SE, which will be available in India by the end of next month.
Apple initially announced that the phone will be priced Rs 30,000 onwards, but later clarified that the price was actually Rs 39,000.
The small size iPhone SE gets a 4-inch display, but beyond that Apple claims that the SE will be on par with the iPhone 6S in terms of power. The phone gets a host of features like Touch ID, NFC, the 12-megapixel iSight camera among others.
Apple has loaded the iPhone 6s with its latest A9 chip that is backed by 2GB RAM. The iOS 9 is seamless and hassle free. The phone can also shoot 4K videos as per the company claims.
Most of us expected India to be part of the first list where the Apple iPhone SE will be available. However, markets like the US, China will be able to get their iPhone SE by the end of this month. Most importantly, Apple claims that the small size iPhone SE will offer better battery life without compromising on the performance.
The Apple iPhone SE will be available in space grey, silver, gold and rose gold metallic finishes in 16GB and 64GB models.
At this price, Apple will be hoping to attract buyers who’ve always felt that owning an iPhone is beyond their budget. Also, if you consider that the iPhone SE will be available in India from April onwards, one can feel that India is truly in Apple’s sights like never before.
