The Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas is a big affair for Samsung every year. This year was no different as the company unveiled some hot television sets with curves and are back in the tablet segment with the Galaxy TabPro S.
Samsung Bezel-Free Curved SUHD TVs
Samsung unveiled their flagship SUHD lineup that feature bezel-free curved designs.
The new sets will begin rolling out later this year and will also be available in India. The new televisions will be available in 49 inch to 88 inch size range.
The USP of the new line up is the10-bit Quantum dot displays that Samsung says delivers “the most true-to-life picture quality, with stunning brightness, exceptional contrast and the most lifelike colors ever offered.”
The new SUHD TVs will run on Samsung’s Tizen operating system.
Samsung Gear S2
Samsung revamped their Gear S2 lineup with new platinum and rose gold colour options for the S2 Classic. The new colours will be priced higher than the existing models. The Gear S2 is launching in India on January 21, 2016, and these new colour variants might just also make their way into the Indian market.
The new models showcased at CES 2016 are no different from the first S2 Classic. The company also released new straps and bracelets that match the higher end finishes, including leather, nylon and a steel version.
Samsung Galaxy TabPro S
Samsung is getting back into the world of Windows tablets. The company announced the Galaxy TabPro S at the CES.
The TabPro S is a Windows 10 tablet and also the first Windows product from Samsung to bear the Galaxy name
The TabPro S looks similar to Microsoft Surface Pro tablets. Microsoft is supposed to launch the new Surface Pro 4 in India on January 7, 2016.
The TabPro S has a 12-inch Super AMOLED display with 2160X1440 pixel resolution and claims to have a 10.5-hour battery life. It is powered by a Intel Core M processor and backed by 4GB of RAM. There is also 128GB of storage and it comes equipped with GPS and NFC chips.
The TabPro S will be available in Wi-Fi and LTE versions starting February 2016 in the west. No announcement has been made on the price of the tablet and a launch date for India by Samsung.
