Apple is all set to launch an update to the iPhone on September 9. There will be two new phones from Apple, the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus.
But you never know, since Apple is known to surprise its fans: They might just name it the ‘New iPhone’ and the ‘New iPhone Plus’. They did something of the sort with the iPad launch earlier.
The iPhone 6S and the 6S Plus will have the same design as the Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. They will be a little heavier than their predecessors. The new phones will also use a 7000 Series aluminium shell that will be stronger and might save Apple from another ‘Bendgate’ scandal this time around.
Apple is expected to put a new Apple A9 processor on the iPhone 6S and the 6S Plus and will couple it with 2GB RAM. Apple will also roll out iOS 9 along with the new phones at the 9 September event.
The new phones will also see improvements in the camera department. Both the phones are expected to get 12-megapixel iSight cameras. The new phones will have Apple’s force touch technology that we’ve seen earlier on the Apple Watch. The Touch ID on both the phones will also be improved.
What’s most interesting here is that Apple along with standard colours of Gold, Silver and Space Grey will also launch a new colour variant on the phone called ‘Rose Gold’.
