We love Instagram!
Could there be a better place to let people know where you were on Friday night and how much you downed this NYE? Sure, while those are nice Insta picks, it’s also a great place to stay inspired and pick up social marketing skills you never had!
There are some incredible women, for instance, who kept us endlessly amused and infinitely inspired this year. I’m hoping they’ll continue to in the coming year...
Here are my top 10 women on Instagram that you should certainly add to your list:
Kendall Jenner (Kardashian Prodigy)
She’s a Kardashian, she’s a model and she’s 20. Not only is she Balmain’s vision of Balmnation but is also a front runner for brands like Estee Lauder, Fendi and Givenchy. Her lip kit sold off in a few hours after they launched and – get this – she gets over USD 300,000 with every snap!
Nigella Lawson (Kitchen Goddess)
You don’t have to be a cook to follow her handle – just a believer in beauty. We mean it! Her Instagram has some of the finest food pictures, aesthetic filters and new recipes, and the most blessed part? She uses the hashtag #foodporn sparingly! Plus, a little humility never fails – Nigella announces her #followoftheday giving a chance to thousands of new chefs every day.
Sonam Kapoor (Marketing Maestro)
Sure, her PRDP Dubsmash era bugged the hell out of me – but look how good she was at marketing her upcoming project! And when the marketing maven is chilling, she updates her handle with daily outfit inspirations. Yes, let’s face it, she’ll make you feel a little bad about yourself, but sometimes a kick in the bum is just what you need.
Kate McCulley (Solo Backpacker)
Sure, you found a few handles that make you want to quit your job and catch a flight, but this one is prime on my list. Why? Because she travels solo (something I’m convincing myself to try) and has been to 56 countries already. Plus, she rarely posts any duck-faced selfies!
Cara Delevingne (Affable Goof)
Her eyebrows and her beauty are both affably unassuming. She may walk straight-faced on the ramp, but off the ramp you’ll find her spending time with her fans, goofing around with designers and giving you a tutorial on how to laugh at yourself.
Danielle Berstein (Young and Restless)
A 22-year-old blogger who started We Wore What, she’s a social media rockstar who earns anywhere between USD 5000-15,000 for her sponsored posts. At 22, she’s earning a six-figure salary and will leave you feeling inspired to pursue your entrepreneur goals.
Sarcasm Only (The One-Liner Genius)
Sure, I subscribe to daily inspiring quotes from Good Vibes Only (@gvoquotes) but hey, I gotta laugh looking at Instagram! Enter some mysterious woman who gets me without meeting me. From memes to one liners and tons of pictures, this one’s a keeper!
Njood Zabar (Yoga Pundit)
Nothing close to a wannabe (she claims to be one in her handle), she was an inspiration to me in my Yoga days as she makes the hardest asanas look as easy as breathing. Her graceful postures and good-vibed captions make her feed both inspiring and beatific.
Beyonce Knowles (Because, Queen Bae)
Her photo shoots are amazing and have helped strengthen her image of being a superstar, hands-on mom and the hottest wife who ever lived.
Plus, she’s Queen Bae.
Namrata Purohit (Bollywood’s Go-to)
If getting fit is on your list for 2016, you must try following her. One of the youngest Pilates trainers, she is usually re-grammed by Bollywood’s Crème De La Crème. Her videos on strengthening your core, back – and basically, feeling awesome about yourself – are like a breath of fresh air!
