1. Cristiano Ronaldo to Meet a 3-Year-Old Terror Attack Survivor

A 3-year-old terror attack survivor Haidar Moustafa will fulfill his biggest dream of meeting Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo. Moustafa tragically lost his parents in the recent terror attacks in Beirut. 

A Lebanese citizen, Rana Harbi used Twitter to help young Moustafa realise his dream.

2. Sania Mirza in BBC’s List of Most Aspirational Women of the Year

BBC has named Sania Mirza in its list of most aspirational women of the year. The Indian Tennis star was part of a list of 100 women along with six Indians. Mirza had a terrific run this year in all competitions.

She won two major doubles titles which include the Wimbledon and US Open with partner Martina Hingis. Singer Asha Bhosle, veteran actress Kamini Kaushal, and farmer Rimppi Kumari are also part of the list.

3. Respite for DDCA; HC Clears Decks to Host Fourth Ind-SA Test

With the Delhi High Court clearing the decks for the fourth and final Test between India and South Africa, Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) Vice-president Chetan Chauhan has said that the state association is ready to put up a good show at the Feroz Shah Kotla on 3 December.

The final hurdle was cleared on Thursday, after the Delhi High Court asked the city government not to take coercive steps against the DDCA till further orders with regard on the entertainment tax dues payable by it.

The DDCA has been directed to deposit Rs 1 crore in two instalments.

4. Ian Bell Dropped for South Africa Series

Ian Bell was dropped by England on Thursday for the upcoming tour to South Africa, after a poor run of form for the Test team, potentially spelling the end of the 33-year-old batsman’s international career.

The No. 3 batsman has looked short of confidence over the past one year. He has scored only one century since July 2014.

5. Djokovic Joins Federer in ATP World Tour Finals Semis

Djokovic reached the semifinals of the ATP World Tour Finals by beating Tomas Berdych 6-3, 7-5 on Thursday in their last round-robin match to stay on course for a fourth straight title. He will face his old rival Rafael Nadal.

Earlier, Roger Federer got through a tough match against Kei Nishikori to reach the semis. He beat him 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 to finish the round-robin stage unbeaten and claimed first place in the group.
