The Rio Olympics are scheduled to begin on 5 August, but the organisers are still scrambling to finish everything from a beach volleyball venue to a new subway line.

At the Olympics village, work crews were still making last minute repairs as the athletes began to line up for their accommodations. Australian contingent was among the first one refuse to accept the accommodations in the village. They sought to hire their own maintenance crews in order to make their quarters suitable.

The delay in completion of Village is a further addition to long list of problems that surround the Rio Olympics – unfinished subway, dirty water-sport locations, poor law and order situation and Zika virus scare to name a few.

Will all these problems, is Rio set to be the next big Olympic disaster?
