This week, Smriti Irani used RTI (Re-Tweeted Information) to rescue higher education from the dangers of anti-nationalism and unpatriotic spirit. To counter the rote memorisation of Western science and theories, the Honourable Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister proposed the rote memorisation of ancient Sanskrit manuscripts.
Faced with a crippling lack of enthusiasm, outdated teaching techniques, and widespread disillusionment, the IITs will now join the ranks of great universities in at least one field, providing an absolutely useless language course.
