Two of the Seven Kanhaiya ‘Sedition’ Videos Are Doctored

Two out of seven videos submitted for forensic examination are fake.

A final supplementary report regarding JNUSU President Kanhaiya Kumar’s ‘sedition’ videos, has been submitted by Truth Labs to the Delhi Government, India Today reports. The report exposed the fact that two out of the seven videos sent for forensic testing have been tampered with.

Two speech videos from 9 and 11 February were submitted by Delhi Police for forensic examination.

Kanhaiya Kumar was arrested based on ‘legitimate’ evidence of him shouting ‘anti-national’ slogans on the campus grounds at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Soon after, Umar Khalid and Anirban Bhattacharya were arrested under the same ‘sedition’ charges.

Kumar, Khalid and Bhattacharya are currently in police custody.
