After the murder of Infosys employee S Swathi at the Nungambakkam railway station on Friday, sources from city police told The Times of India that she was being stalked for a month.
An officer said that the family knew about it but did not want to file a police complaint about it.
Her father, Gopalakrishnan said that Swathi complained to them about a man who was regularly following her. Gopalakrishnan used to drop and pick her up everyday from the Nungambakkam railway station. Police suspect that on Friday, the stalker followed her and attacked her soon after Gopalakrishnan left.
Meanwhile, the Police requested people to share any mobile phone recording or photos of the suspect taken at the time of the crime.
A special team, comprising eight inspectors, an assistant commissioner and a deputy commissioner has been formed to nab the culprit, reports The Hindu.
