Rubi Ray, who topped the political science class 12 examination in Bihar this year, thinks her subject was about cooking. The girl from Hajipur region of Bihar made the statement during an interview to Aaj Tak. India Today news channel posted the video on Twitter.
She has managed a score of 444 out of 500.
Giving the girl, who called the subject “prodigal science”, some benefit of doubt, parts of our country are headed towards a big bowl of soup.
After the video went viral on social media, the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) rechecked her papers and found no issues with it, reports The Times of India.
According to the report, the chairperson of BSEB, Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh, has announced that a special committee will interview the top five students of the three stream – Arts, Commerce, and Science.
I have received a complaint that arts topper was not competent enough to top the subject. But we have re-examined her papers and could not find any problem in that. Hence we have decided to call the top five students of all the streams and interview them. This is to find out the root cause behind this problem.Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh, BSEB Chairman to The Times of India
