“Pratyusha Can’t Commit Suicide”, Say Her Close Pals in Industry

Friends, colleagues and other names in entertainment world speak up after Pratyusha’s sudden demise.

Sudden suicide of TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee on Friday has taken everyone by surprise – her friends and colleagues were seen outside the Kokilaben Hospital where she was admitted after the alleged suicide. She last appeared in the TV show Hum Hai Na where she played the female lead.

Pratyusha was also a part of Bigg Boss season 7, which was eventually won by her good friend Gauhar Khan.

Unhappiness in her love life is being touted as one of the possible reasons for her alleged suicide. Interestingly, it was her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh who informed the police about the incident. The two appeared in Power Couple, a reality show hosted by now estranged couple Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora Khan.

Her Bigg Boss inmate and friend actor Ajaz Khan maintained all through that this cannot be suicide.

She was scared the last time I met, before Holi. She kept on looking at Rahul even while talking to me. That man changed her. She was very strong and this cannot be suicide. This is planned murder.

After taking a look at the body, Khan said, “her lips were dry and she had a mark on the right side of her lips.”

Another veteran actress Dolly Bindra echoes Khan.

She was adamant to file an FIR against the cops who barged into her place even after she paid Rs 4,600 that she owed Kotak Mahindra. Such a strong girl cannot commit suicide. It is surprising that none of her family members are here, not even Rahul.

Performer Rakhi Sawant expressed her shock and said, “These actresses should ditch their boyfriends, why give up your life for them?”

Rakhi further said that Pratyusha had called her up to ask for guidance on how to survive in the Bigg Boss house.

Other TV actresses – Sara Khan, Sana Khan and Tina Dutta – were also seen at the same spot. Sara and Pratyusha were good friends in the industry though there was bad blood between them in the Bigg Boss house.

Where is Rahul?

While Sana was diplomatic in her statements, Dutta and Sara were more upfront.

Raj should have been present. As a friend of Pratyusha, I am disappointed not to see Raj around. They dated for one-and-a-half years. Where is he now?
