Dr. Rohit, Assistant Professor of Economics at the Centre for Economic Studies and Planning, JNU and former President, JNUSU, gave a passionate speech after being attacked by RSS-backed "lawyers" at the Patiala House court complex in Delhi on 15 February 2016. JNU teachers, students, journalists and even bystanders were beaten up by the goons when they came to the court for the hearing of arrested JNUSU President Kanhaiya Kumar. The teachers returned to the JNU campus and addressed a large gathering of students.

MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan Slams “Anti-India” Slogans

The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan has called the act of raising “anti-India” slogans as an act of crime.

Bharat Mata ke liye to ham rakht ki antim boond nyochhavar karne ke liye tayyar hain (We are ready to shed the last drop of our blood for Mother India). If someone raises anti-national slogans, it is an unforgivable crime.

JNUSU President’s Arrest “Political Conspiracy,” Says Mayawati

West Bengal’s Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has joined hands with the Congress party to slam the ruling party for arresting a student union president of JNU, Kanhaiya Kumar under sedition charges.

Arrest of JNUSU President Kanhaiya Kumar on sedition charges is a political conspiracy. Defaming a reputed educational institution like JNU by terming it as anti-national is extremely saddening and condemnable.
