May 29 2015 – Chennai

A young man, who had been stalking his former colleague for over a year, assaulted and stabbed her, causing serious injuries, after she brushed him off and walked away on a busy street in T Nagar, Chennai.

Jan 29, 2015 – Melbourne

An Indian security guard Sandesh Baliga, accused of stalking two women in Melbourne, Australia, escaped conviction after arguing that he was influenced by Bollywood movies to doggedly pursue women to win their hearts.

Feb 20, 2015 – Maharashtra

A college student in Maharashtra was brutally attacked and stabbed to death by a 32-year old married man Deva Gabhne, who had often stalked and harassed her near a village in the Bhandara district.

August 31, 2013 – New Delhi (JNU)

Akash, a Jawaharlal Nehru University student, who killed himself later, severely injured his friend Roshni. He was obsessed with her and took everything related to her very seriously, a four-page note recovered from the boy’s belongings revealed.

Feb 10, 2015 – New Delhi

Stalkers stabbed a 29-year-old woman Reena Rawat, ten times in Delhi’s C.R Park. The accused have been identified as Rajesh and his friend Irshad Ali.

Nov 24, 2014 – Mumbai

Azharuddin Azim Ahmed Sarkar, a 21-year-old Kolkata resident was arrested on charges of stalking a 24-year-old woman. He had told cops that he had sent vulgar messages to many girls in the past.

Sept 5, 2014 – New Delhi

A 20-year-old girl, Farha, was stabbed to death by a jilted lover, who later injured the girl’s mother as well when they were sleeping in their house in east Delhi’s. The stalker was out on bail in a molestation case that was filed by the same girl.

Mar 8, 2011 – New Delhi

A second-year degree student Radhika Tanwar (21) was shot dead by an unidentified person near Ramlal Anand College in Dhaula Kuan’s Shantiniketan area in daylight by a stalker.

An 18-year-old girl was stabbed seven times in south Delhi’s Vasant Vihar by Pradeep Kumar, a resident of Mohammadpur whom she accused of molestation earlier.

A 26-year-old woman was stabbed to death in Karol Bagh in central Delhi by a stalker. The victim has been identified as Simran, an executive working in an MNC in Noida. She had got married two years ago.

April 05, 2013 – New Delhi

A 25-year-old man, manning the counter of a cab company at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, was arrested on the charge of harassing and abusing a 23-year-old IT professional who was travelling from Delhi to Ludhiana.

January 23, 1996 – New Delhi

Priyadarshini Mattoo was attending Delhi University when she drew the attention of another student named Santosh Singh in 1995. Santosh spent the year constantly stalking and harassing Priyadarshini until she formally lodged a complaint with the police.

They provided her with a personal security officer, but this failed to dissuade Santosh. On January 23, 1996, Priyadarshini was murdered at her home in New Delhi. She had been raped and her face had been repeatedly beaten with a motorcycle helmet before she was strangled with a wire.

Enraged after being turned down, a man stabbed a minor girl to death and later tried to commit suicide in Davangare in Karnataka.

An engineering student stabbed a girl to death, who he had been stalking in the campus of Guru Jambeshwar University of Science and Technology.
