DUTA Ends Admission Boycott, Says Will Not Hamper Students’ Future

This decision was taken following concerns about students’ futures being jeopardised.

  • Delhi University teachers today decided to end the boycott of the enrolmemt process.

  • The decision to join the admission process was taken at an Executive Meeting of Delhi University Teachers association (DUTA), following concerns about the future of students being jeopardised.

  • Teachers had been boycotting evaluation of UG examination papers since 24 May in protest against amendments to UGC regulations that, they argue, will lead to job-cuts to the tune of 50 per cent and drastically decrease the pupil-teacher ratio in higher education.
