They had a chat, which went on for about for 20 to 25 minutes. The couple spoke about their daughter Vidhie Mukerjea’s future, her interest in studies and her monetary requirements. Peter also offered gulab jamun to Indrani which his family had brought for him.Family members of Peter and Indrani to Mid-Day
CBI filed a reply opposing Peter’s bail application. In its reply submitted before the court, the investigating agency said,
Further investigations are on. It added that offences committed by the accused are serious in nature and their release on bail will be prejudicial to the investigation at this stage. Peter was very much involved in the conspiracy and e-mails sent to Rahul about Sheena being happy abroad show the same. It also refuted all the reasons Peter gave in his bail application. The bail is likely to be argued on 21 April.
Later, Indrani wanted to meet Peter again but he refused as did not wish to talk to her in the presence of the media, according to family sources.
