We don’t need old, or possibly photoshopped images to tell us how navigating Rajiv Chowk without drowning in a sea of human beings is an achievement in itself.
But on the first real test of the Delhi government’s Odd-Even formula, unauthentic images of the busiest metro station in Delhi flooded social media platforms like Twitter.
The Odd-Even formula was blamed for creating chaos, which commuters have to brave on a daily basis thanks to gross underestimation of the burden on public and transport infrastructure.
The Quint rode through Rajiv Chowk at around 3.30 pm and found it was business as usual for non-peak hours at the central metro station.
The response to the Odd-Even formula has been fairly positive on the first Monday of the New Year. Few Twitter users could not help have some fun with the mix-up over the crowded Rajiv Chowk metro station.
