Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma met with the press to celebrate the success of their blockbuster Sultan on Friday evening at a farmhouse in Panvel on the outskirts of Mumbai.

Some of the questions aimed at Salman obviously referred to the controversies he’s been embroiled in over the years to which the actor responded by saying:

Should I give you something to survive for the next two weeks? If I don’t say anything, I am boring. See I understand your responsibility towards your job. But if I say something, my people won’t like it.

When asked if people are taking advantage of his silence to run him down, Salman said:

You reply, you don’t reply, people will still write what they want to. I may say something, it will be taken as something else. Phir ek statement ko ghuma phira ke kya hota hai you also know. It’s sad.

Commenting on his co-star Anushka, who was with him, Salman said that, “Anushka makes me look good on screen in the movie.”

Salman also joked about Ranveer having watched Sultan in Paris and danced in the theatre by saying:

I want to kill him. Actually I want to break a chair on him. He went there to watch the film or dance? I am telling you he was making everyone watch him!

On a lighter note, Salman also agreed with Aamir who had earlier this month said that Salman was a bigger star than him.

Aamir doesn’t lie, whatever he says he is right.

Also Salman fans can now look out for the star’s Marathi film debut. The star of Sultan confirmed that he will be doing a Marathi film titled Shivaji with Riteish Deshmukh, for which he would shoot for 5 to 6 days and it won’t be a guest appearance. Salman also added that he had shot for a Marathi television show recently and loved it.
