So what if Salman Khan smirked when quizzed about his “I used to feel like a raped woman” comment at the IIFA Inauguration in Madrid?

If he can get away with making that comment, the smirk is nothing in comparison. If anything, the smirk is probably symbolic of a joke on us and our collective perpetuation of rape culture.

Bhaaijaan was in a jovial mood while addressing the inauguration on Thursday and his great sense of humour was at play again when he said this:

“I will not take much time because nowadays, the less I speak the better it is.”

Clearly hinting at the outrage against his sense of humour (read: rape reference), Khan added,“I know it has been a long evening, I will make it short, quick.”

According to reports, the audience, made up largely of Bollywood stars broke out in a loud applause.

His sense of humour went down well with Bollywood, which is not surprising given that they are pretty okay with his “rape” comment too.

The much vaunted Bajrangi bhaaijaan successfully managed to shake off any attempt to make him talk on the issue.
