Rani Mukerji is Gearing Up for Motherhood!

Actress Rani Mukerji and director producer Aditya Chopra are expecting their first child in January 2016

Their secret wedding came as a surprise in 2014 and soon after there were rumours of Rani being pregnant. But like we said, they were all rumours. But we woke today to Mumbai Mirror confirming that the actress and her producer husband are expecting their first child in January.

Rani’s sister-in-law Jyoti Mukerji, a popular TV actress, accidentally confirmed the news to the daily saying, “Yes, Rani is pregnant.” She’s reportedly in her second trimester and taking time off from work, gearing up for motherhood.

Like their secret wedding in Italy the couple is trying to keep this personal news away from the media. According to reports Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra were recently in the UK, and have now flown off to an unknown location.

While she was last seen in Pradeep Sarkar’s Mardaani in 2014, it seems she has cleared her calendar and is not working on any film at the moment.
