In a series of videos, TV evangelist Zakir Naik is seen defending himself and reacting to media reports of him being the inspiration for the attackers in the Dhaka terror attacks.
In the video, Naik insists that he has a large following but every action of his followers cannot be attributed to him, therefore absolving himself of all responsibility.
The videos seem to be snippets from his channel, Peace TV, and each of them convey his stance on the Dhaka attack, and the controversy now surrounding him.
Naik has come under the scanner after it emerged that one of the Dhaka attackers was his follower. The Bangladesh government has requested India to help tighten the probe by questioning Naik.
The Mumbai police on Wednesday questioned office bearers of the Islamic Research Foundation (IRF), of which Naik is founder.
He is expected to return to India on 11 July.
28 people, mostly foreigners, were killed in the horrific Dhaka attacks, during a siege at the Holey Artisan Bakery, which lasted nearly 11 hours.
