Harley and UM Motorcycles are not the only global motorcycle brands that are interested in Indian biker enthusiasts right now. British motor maker, Triumph Motorcycles has launched the Bonneville range with three bikes forming their line-up in India.

Priced starting from Rs 6.9 lacs, the range will comprise of the new Street Twin and the 1200cc Bonneville T120 through to the Thruxton R.

The Triumph Street Twin is the most affordable Bonneville in the Indian market at Rs 6.9 lakh. Its delivery starts from March onwards and thereby replaces the current Bonneville available in the market.

You get a 900cc Cafe Racer that is said to offer peak torque of 80Nm @ 3200 rpm. The fact that Triumph bikes are now manufactured in India helps them price the Bonneville range much lower than we’re used to.

The next two in the line-up – Bonneville T120 and the Thruxton R – are both 1200cc powered 105 Nm @ 3100 rpm and 112 Nm @ 4950 rpm respectively. The company’s given April as the timeline for delivery of the Bonneville T120, priced at Rs 8.7 lakh. Neither pricing nor availability for the Thruxton R have been announced right now.

Going by what Triumph has brought to India this year, we’d be surprised if the brand doesn’t manage to sell more than a couple of grand units this year itself. There’s a lot of heat in the biking space right now, and Triumph fits in just right.
