Even in the midst of the ongoing merger of the six different offshoots of the erstwhile Janata Party, RJD president Lalu Prasad has gone ahead and declared that the merger has happened and only awaits a formal announcement. This could effectively be seen as a combat weapon to take on the BJP.

The merger of six parties of Janata Parivar has already happened. The merger is final. Only a formal announcement will be done by Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh Yadav. We all have decided to come under one flag and one symbol to counter BJP, which is a ‘party of cheats’.
